Out of Fashion

Two policeman on an escalator in Zoologischer Garten railway station, Berlin, 2006.

Once upon a time, “your friend and helper” wore green.. In the meantime, policemen in Germany wear (except in Bavaria) a new blue uniform. The green one was designed by Heinz Oestergaard, a really great german fashion designer in the 1950 and 1960. So much the worse, I wonder why the style of these gree and beige uniforms was so completly unbecomming. A lot of the fancy Oestergard’s modells are shot and set in scence by the fabulous photographer F.C. Gundlach.

Where the Wall was

Today is German Unity Day.

So here is the occasion to post some pictures from the former Berlin border line.

Here, between Kreuzberg and Mitte, is a green area there, where the former Berlin Wall was.

So, if you’ll visit Berlin sometime, you also can make a “Berlin Mauerweg” Tour by bike.
