The Umlaut

Remember the “Witzbold“?

Here is a phenomenon that happens on Mohrenstrasse in Berlin-Mitte again and again. As you know, we have the Germanic Umlaut. So you can change a word with just two dots into a total different one ;-)

“Mohren” (plural of “Mohr”) is a old fashioned and no more used (because of its discriminating content) expression for a black person .

“Möhren” whereas are carrots ;-)

the local cleaning squat do all its best, but.. it happens again and again and again… ;-)
